A practical setup for recording lessons on a Mac: what to capture, how to be heard clearly, how long a lesson should be, and the mistakes that make a recording unwatchable for students.

Most product demos lose the viewer in the first thirty seconds. The structure that keeps them, what to cut, and the recording setup that makes a demo look deliberate rather than accidental.

A screenshot shows the end. A screen recording shows how you got there. When each one is right, what a developer actually needs in a bug report, and how to record one in under a minute.

Record a coding tutorial on a Mac with your voice and the code on screen — which mode to use, how to capture system audio, font sizes that stay readable, and the settings that ruin a take.

A screen recorder sees whatever is on your screen. What HappyRec records, what it never records, where the files are kept, and why there is no account to sign in to.

Voice mode records audio and nothing else, in M4A or WAV. What the difference actually is, which to pick for a voice note, a podcast or a narration track, and how to get a clean take first time.

A voice changer with two sliders instead of one. What pitch and character actually do, which preset suits which recording, and why HappyRec does not make you sound like a chipmunk.

A face in the corner of a tutorial helps people follow it. Not everybody wants to be on camera. The camera bubble, the avatar that replaces it, and how to choose between them.

macOS does not let applications record system audio by default, which is why so many screen recordings are silent. How to capture the sound your Mac is playing and your own voice together, without an echo.

HappyRec has four recording modes and picking the right one saves editing afterwards. What each records, when to use it, and the trade-off nobody mentions about window recording.
